The general body meeting of HPOS was held on 3rd September 2016 at 7:00pm in presence of Dr. SK Sharma and Dr. SS Pandav Additional Prof Deptt of Ophthalmology Advance Eye Centre PGI Chandigarh, Dr. GC Rajput Gen. Secretary, Dr. Vinod Kashyap Treasurer HPOS. The meeting was attended by forty members.
Dr G C Rajput presented the agenda of the meet.
The action taken on 20th September 2014 GBM. The house was of the opinion that new website may be launched after having opinion of the local computer related knowledgeable person. They were of the opinion that it should be discontinued in present form.
Demand of the GDMO's has been raised in inaugural address to Hon'ble Health Minister as assured to house of fulfilling the demands, however demand charter shall be sent to Hon'ble Health Minister.
Delegation fee for conferences has been fixed as required
Member : 1000/-
Non-member : 1500/-
Associate : 1000/-
Every member shall contribute 500/- annually in society fund.
The associate members should become members by paying rest of fees within one year of passing master’s degree or next meeting of house whichever is earlier. Relaxation of two months has been given to all the associate members who still exist in the membership list on website. They can deposit the amount by RTGS in society A/C name, details provided as follows :

For conferences state executive will select local organizing committee in consultation with local organizers and preferably open a current A/C in name of HPOS, so as to run day to day activities and deposit the 30% of the saved amount with HPOS. The house unanimously adopted the resolution.
In amendments - the executive member who doesn’t attend meeting for two terms- clause is deleted.
House has adopted the resolution that all conferences should be held under the written permission of state executive.

Following is list of new associate members who need to become regular members after paying Rs1000/- after one year of passing the post graduate exam or next biannual conference whichever is earlier.
Following is list of associate members, who still exist as associate members in members list. They are requested to deposit the rest of the amount within 2 months of the release of the report of minutes of meeting in A/C details provided.
The next biannual meeting has been proposed to be held in Distt Kullu and Dr Ravi Matani has honorably accepted the proposal to hold next biannual conference on the request of the house.
The treasure report was presented in the GBM by Dr Vinod Kashyap and for the first time since inception of the society the income tax statement of the society was filed in the income tax department. He has also circulated the audited report of the accounts to the society members in the GBM.
The General Secretary has presented his biannual report in the GBM.

Minutes of the meeting conducted on 06-10-2018 at Manuallya Resort Manali during Eye Con
Following points were discussed in GBM held on 6th Oct 2018 at ManaliEye Con, atManuallaya resort ManaliDistt. Kullu Himachal Pradesh.
1. House was informed that new website has been launched by honsol.com.The name of the website is HPOS.in which can be accessed by anyone.This website will have the names with membership number along with details (old and amended) of all the membersand activities donetilldate. It has recurring expenses of Rs.8000/- per year approximately.
2. Making and presentation of demand charter prepared by old executive committee will be resubmitted to the appropriate authority after dual consultation with new executive committee.
3. Delegation fee change can be made according to nature of events and to be decided by the local organizingcommittee, asa response to old fixed amount in Kufri holiday meeting in Sept 2016.
4. In response to the amount deposited in HPOS account it was informed that 31 HPOS members have deposited the money with the treasurer Dr.VinodKashyap, which has been deposited in the HPOS Shimla bank account.
5. There are 31 old associate members who stand in HPOS MEMBERS list and as per minutes of meeting circulated in 2016, they had to deposit Rs. 1500 to become regular members within one year of completing their degree or before GBM of biennial conference. To this, the house has given the 6 months time to deposit Rs 1500/per person otherwise their name shall be stuck from the list of membership. To this new gen secy. shall issue letters at their correspondence address.
6. The house passed the subaccount opened at Bajaurakullu
7. There were six ratified members who were regularized as regular members
8. There were 11 members included as new associate members
Besides this following points were discussed in GBM
1) HOUSE was of view that according to preference its chief guest in conference should be a public figure followed by academician in ophthalmology. However the LOC is given power to decide according to situation.2) The name of the Journal will be Himachal Pradesh journal of ophthalmology ,to be brought biennially.
3) For the time being conference will be held once in two years
4) The venue of next conference will be in the District ofKangra in Sep /Oct 2020
5) Treasurer report was presented by DrVinodKashyap and ITR was filled for last 2 years and the A/C was audited.
6) Dr. AnilVerma presented the biennial report of society and he also presented the camps conducted on behalf of Rotary Eye Foundation by Dr.Rohit, contrary to society rules.
Finally the president presented his presidential address in which new addition of Himachal Journal of Ophthalmology was the highest achievement. He congratulated the editor of journal for achieving this feast. He thanked all the members of society in making this event a successfulevent.
